Sponsorship

A sponsorship (Annexe 32) is signed in the context of a visa D application (long stay) for students.

The sponsorship can be signed by a Belgian or a foreign individual. The sponsor commits to the Belgian State to pay for the medical costs, accommodation costs, study costs and repatriation costs for the student.

The processing time is normally no longer than 2 to 3 weeks (this period can add up in peak periods). Therefore, always send your application on time!

-You must complete a file with all requested documents and send it by email to rome.visa@diplobel.fed.be

-If your file is accepted, we will contact you to make an appointment to personally sign the sponsorship at our offices in Rome

-We process the requests chronologically. No file is given priority.

-For privacy reasons information about the application is only given to the sponsor and NOT to the student or other third party.

-The salary of the sponsor cannot be added to other income: 1 sponsor, 1 income.
