Required income of the sponsor

Attention! The required minimum monthly net income can be increased every year.

As a general rule, the sponsor must have a monthly net income of €2217,47 (amount indexed as of 1 September 2026) for his / her personal expenses. To this amount is added the minimum amount that each dependent third-country national must have, namely 1062 euros net/month (amount set for the 2026-2027 academic year).

A sponsor taking on a formal obligation to a student will need to prove that they have at least 2217,47 euros net/month + 1062 euros net/month) = 3279,47 euros net/month. 

*Attention: Funds obtained from the supplementary assistance systems (social integration income and guaranteed family benefits), financial social services, family benefits, unemployment benefits, integration benefits and transition allowance are not taken into account.
